Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation Opens 39th
Treasure Chest Program
Because our mission is to provide comfort and distraction from painful procedures to children and teens who have been diagnosed with cancer, each opening of a new Treasure Chest Program is cause for major celebration. November 19, 2010 was such an occasion with the grand opening of the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation's 39th Treasure Chest Program at the Children's Hospital of Richmond in Virginia. This Treasure Chest was established in honor of Paul and Diane Maiellaro and the Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo. The Virginia program enables children and teenagers undergoing cancer treatment in Richmond to visit one of our treasure boxes, adding the fourteenth state to our program.
With each new Treasure Chest opening, we pause to reflect on the phenomenal growth our Foundation has experienced since our humble beginnings 14 years ago. Today we can proudly point to our 39 locations across 14 states nationwide and know that thanks to your generous support, more than 7,600 children and teens are being comforted each month as they endure the hardships of cancer treatment.
We hope that you will take a moment from your busy schedule to join us in celebrating our latest Treasure Chest opening. We are extremely grateful for your tremendous support in our never-ending campaign to bring joy and smiles to kids fighting cancer.

About the Treasure Chest of Art
The Treasure Chest of Art is a very special event launched during the 10th Anniversary Expo in September, 2010. Benefitting the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation, this limited edition sketch card collection features artwork from hundreds of well-known comic book creators and pop culture illustrators from around the world. Limited to only 100, each individually hand-crafted Treasure Chest of Art contains 50 original and randomly inserted works of art in trading card form. Each chest is numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. We are very grateful to Lucasfilm who has supported this charity project by approving the use of Star Wars™ sketches within the set. Card subject matter includes but is not limited to Star Wars™.
Each Treasure Chest is made to order & handcrafted in the USA of the finest hardwood. A complete list of participating artists will be included in each Chest. Every card is protected by an Ultra Pro Top Loader. Each chest is hand packaged with the greatest of care.
100% of the net proceeds from the Treasure Chest of Art, less expenses, go to the POTCF. We are offering you an opportunity to purchase your own unique chest for $395.00. That’s less than $8.00 per card! There is a mandatory down payment of $50.00, followed by regular monthly payments. You may also pay in full with one payment.
